27 June 1990 Professional Golfers Association of Thailand changed named to Professional Golfers Association

In 2001 Thongchai Jaidee become the first Thai player to win the Asian Tour Order of Merrit.
14 February 2003 Professinal Golfers Association changed name to Professional Golf Association of Thailand.
In 2010, the Thailand PGA consists of 1,000 professional members with the strong support from The Sports Authority of Thailand. The Thailand PGA Tour now has a minimum of 12 events per year with prize money of 1,500,000 Thai/Baht (approximately US$50,000 per tournament) and 2 events on the international stage (Asian Tour)
